Hourglass Loop Antenna for 144 MHz SSB and WSPR

Described nearly a year ago in QST I finally got around to building one. With some great results.

Ideal if you want a horizontally polarised antenna in a tight space with a little gain.

  2. 5dBd sounds a bit optimistic for this type of antenna. The horizontal portion is only 37cms as opposed to 100cms or so for a full half wave.
