Pedestrian mobile 2m & 70cm SSB

VHF SSB is an underappreciated mode. Many people have it on their FT817s, 818s etc. SSB's efficiency can give better range than FM. Especially when teamed up with the superior gain large beam antennas that many SSBers have.

Here are a few videos demonstrating my experiences with 2m and 70cm SSB while pedestrian mobile.

  1. Hi Peter, I have an excellent homebrew dual band 2m/70cm dipole for portable operations. https://vk1nam.wordpress.com/2019/03/09/sota-lightweight-portable-2m-70cm-dipole-antenna/
