Hearing AM broadcast stations on the amateur bands? This might be why.

Are you hearing signals that you shouldn't in the HF amateur bands? No, it may not be because they're transmitting where they shouldn't. And neither might it be your equipment. Your antenna could instead be the problem. Watch as I fault find and fix a problem with my G5RV antenna at home. The repair also made the antenna behave as it should and removed the risk of it generating harmonics on transmit.

PS: I have written five books on amateur radio topics. They are available in electronic and paperback form (most countries). Ebooks are under $US 5 each. Find our more here or follow VK3YE Radio Books on Facebook.
